A tailgating favorite!
Yield: Makes 4 to 6 servings
2 | tablespoons | butter | |

2 | tablespoons | oil | |

6 | medium onions, cut in thin wedges | ||

2 | tablespoons | sugar | |
|
|||
1/4 | cup | Jack Daniel's Old No. 7 | |
|
|||
Salt, to taste | |||

|||
pepper, to taste | |||
|
Heat butter and oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add onions and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes. Reduce heat.
Stir in sugar and cook until onions are golden brown, about 20 to 25 minutes. Stir in Jack Daniel's and cook about 3 minutes or until liquid has evaporated. Season with salt and pepper. Serve warm or at room temperature.
