2 | large Bermuda onions | ||

2/3 | cup | milk | |

1/2 | cup | all-purpose enriched flour | |
|
|||
1/2 | teaspoon | salt | |
|

vegetable oil for deep frying | |||

Cut onions into 1/4-inch slices. Separate into rings. Soak onion rings in milk and then dip in flour seasoned with 1/2 teaspoon salt.
Fry a few at a time in deep vegetable oil heated to 375 F. Cook until lightly browned, 2 to 3 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
Sprinkle with salt, if desired. Serve with ketchup.
